Connell, Tuesday. Day 3

VBS
Continue to have good turn out; there were 42 today, 5 of which that were new.  David and Flannery are doing a great job on the opening and wrap ups.  Quite a few of the kids are learning the verses, and seem to be enjoying VBS.

Service Project
The City had us clear weeds from the Fire Dept, and gave us a half mile of bike path; we are about half done as of today. Need to make it to the trees in the background.  It helped that it rained so much today, and softened the ground, plus we got to work in the shade, and a nice breeze.  Cannot get any of the locals to volunteer with us, but we are having a good time together.

Outreach
This was from last night, as we are doing the blog between dinner and Out Reach each night.  We had only two local youth attend, and about 6 adults that were in the park.  Some of the kids approached the local youth a few times at the skateboard park, but they are not interested.  So that is something we would appreciate prayer on.  The testimonies went well.  One of the adults that attended; Patrick, is bicycling from Boulder Colorado, to Seattle.  He stopped off for a rest in the park, and joined us for Ultimate, the singing time, and the testimonies.  He really appreciated everything, so perhaps the evening outreach this year, in this town, is not targeted for high school?
